Wonderful Second Hand vintage brooch to decorate your sweater or jacket with!
Incredibly beautiful gecko / salamander from Gem Craft in high quality.
The lizard is enamelled in green and blue velvet decorated with many glittering rhinestones. Everything nicely mounted in a gold-toned metal shell.
Design: "Craft" embossed on the back.

History Gem Craft vintage jewelry
Gene Verrecchia (Gene Verri) founded his own jewelry company Gem - Craft in Providence in 1945, after World War II. before that, he worked as Coro's leading designer for more than 3 decades.
He made his own jewelry and also designed for the jewelry company of that time designers, e.g. Kenneth Jay Lane, Oscar dear la Renta, Capri, R. Mandle, Tancer, Cadoro and Kramer.
The company flourished in the 1950s and 80s when bright expressive decorations of the original design were created.
From 1979 onwards, all jewelery was marked with a craft stamp, a so-called copyright sign.
Gem - Craft branded jewelery is very rare, a collector's item, but most importantly - beautiful, original and of excellent quality!
