Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine
Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine is a wonderfully cute little machine designed especially for embossing. You can not punch motifs with it, but it is excellent for those who work with short production and embossing projects. It can also be a great addition if you have an electronic punch, because most machines can not emboss.
Since the machine weighs more than 1.4 kg (3lb) so it is easy to carry around. The design in the form of a bag allows the adorn all shelves!
Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine works just like any other manual punching and embossing machines. As usual, you put eg a piece of paper inside an embossing folder. Then you put embossingfildern between two embossing plates to create a so-called sandwich. This sandwich cranks subsequently through maskien and will receive an embossed motif.
What embossing folders, you can use the machine?
Sizzix own embossing folders:
- Sizzix A2 Large (5 3/4 "x 4 1/2")
- Sizzix A2 Medium (4 1/2 "x 2 7/8")
- Sizzix Small (2 7/8 "x 2 1/4")
Other manufacturers embossing folders:
- Cuttlebug A2
- Cuttlebug 5 × 7 *
- M-Bossabilities A2 (no shims)
- M-Bossabilities 5 × 7 *
- Darcie A2
- Darcie 5 × 7
* Sometimes you may need to cut away a small thin piece of embossing folder for it to fit in the machine. However, it seems the older Cuttlebug embossing folders work without problems.
Remember that A2 folders, unfortunately, can not be placed "on the side" because maskiens opening is too narrow.
A good tip if you do not manage to get a good embossing pressure is to experiment with shims.
