The way to use Scrapbooking Embellishments!

What is really Scrapbooking decorations?
Yes, it is definitely not just paper! Decorations can be made from metal, fabric, plastic, wood, jewelry and much more.

When I decide which decorations that I'll use in my layout, I always try to see it from a holistic perspective, because it is so easy to walk into the trap of adding to far too much in the layout!

A simple checklist in order to balance your decoration ideas
- Fits up with my theme?
- They help to express / highlight the photos in the layout?
- Helps decorations to enhance journaling and phrases / lines?
- Determine if the decorations are best suited to sit gathered on any part of your project or if it will be better spread out?

Decorations / ornaments base Tips
Almost in every case, you would like to have your photos highlighted in the layout. Therefore, make sure your decorations do not become too dominant, especially when you only have one photo on a page.

Also remember not to mix too many kinds of decorations such as stickers, brads, ribbons, beads, etc., since it can create chaos for the eye.

Use embellishments that enhance the experience of your photos, for example, perhaps a metal frame.

3D decorations or adornments can do miracles in your layout. Easy to apply and often self !.

Experiment! Use your imagination to express themselves through the decorations and ornaments that you choose. Also remember that you can add your own decorations from some more personal things, thus creating a unique look to your scrapbooking layout!

How do I set the scrapbooking decorations?
The most common methods:
- Catchs (also colored)
- Glue-stick
- Adhesive tape, double-sided
- Glue Dots (Very useful for heavy items)

Examples of decorations
Beads - small beads are ideal for highlighting midnre decorations such as The center of a flower. You can also use the "Seed beads" which is an common term for smaller beads of various shapes, the most common are round.

Bottle Caps - is fun and easy to use. Giving your project a unique look and add dimension!
You can use your own leftover or purchase ready-made in different colors and motifs. However, you can decorate your bottle caps using a 1 "round punch and punch out its own motives that you pasting fixed!

Brads, Eyelets and Snaps - also called mini fasteners and are perfect to use to places such paper decorations! You can read more here...

Buttons - is an understated decoration that really lifts your project. Buttons adds both dimension and personality to your project. You can benefit from using a needle and thread for attachment, which gives a very professional look. You can group together buttons on your layout or why not select all the corners of a button !?

Chains, clips, wire - are wonderful aids to partly decorate with, and to hang up things in your layout!

Feathers- To use a spring or two in your layout may not be the first decoration you can think of, but try to get! You will be surprised at the results !. This versatile decoration available in different materials, sizes, colors and designs. Easy to match into your project, such as an amplifier to your chosen theme or why not as an attribute of your text !?

Film Strips - helps you to easily organize multiple photos in the same layout! Try to put your photos diagonally in the layout. It resolve neatly and easily with the help of a film strip.

Flowers- is one of the most popular decorations. You can both buy ready-made flowers or make yourself using various techniques! Using e.g. dies you can build your own flowers.

Glitter Glue - Adds structure to your layout, and is very easy to use. A little different tips are "dabbing" small round click on your project, or even in the middle of a flower !? More common is to fill in the letters / words with Glitter Glue or highlight edges on decorations, photos, etc.

Photo corners - Make your photos a professional look and allows you to easily remove the photo if you want.

Pockets - Used to advantage to keep the photos, but why not try to stop in a ticket, kartbit or receipt !? Pockets make your layout more interesting to discover.

Rub-ons, stickers - are understated decorations that you should use more of your work! Why? Well, they are affordable, easy to apply and comes in endless shapes, sizes and colors.
